Lakich Studio

Lili Lakich founded the Museum of Neon Art in 1981 and created the signage for the Museum’s three locations.
Her signature image, Mona, derived from Leonardo da
Vinci’s Mona Lisa, was the Museum’s logo for 18 years.
It is now the logo image for Lakich’s own studio. In 1993 Lakich recreated the sign from Hollywood’s Earl Carroll Theatre and supervised the restoration of 22 historic
signs (including Steele’s Motel) from the Museum’s sign
collection for longterm display at CityWalk in Universal City.
