the the stereotype Virgin/Vixen duality of females, Rapture
is the sculptural reinterpretation of an earlier drawing, Punk Madonna
(1981). She flaunts her fiery heart with kinetic neon, and signals off-limits
but seductive territory with the “Rapture” logo of a Los Angeles
area low-rider club.
