Let
X = X was
created for the backyard cabana of the Batt residence in Hillsborough outside
of San Francisco. The sculpture is related to a larger work, And
Justice for All, (see Public Sculptures) that Lakich created
for the Columbia Square building in San Diego.
Constructed of honeycomb aluminum, aluminum diamond
plate and brass with heads made from a fresnel lens and etched and sandblasted
plexiglass, the sculpture is 10 by 5 feet.
Multi-colored neon tubes pumped with argon and neon
gases are mounted to the front and back surfaces of the sculpture.
